K90 Chalet - Camber Sands Holiday Park

I had to clean the chalet before our stay and cleaned thoroughly after we left. Positive: The location was perfect, had all the facilities we needed. Negative: Children found webs and spiders on the corners of the rooms, which they got scared.. Oven was not clean, so did not use. Toaster needed a clean too.. Needed a clean outside the chalet too.. lots of webs..

Positive: Camber sands Negative: There were 6 of us. The sofa bed is very flat and uncomfortable. Very. (Other posts have pointed this out before mine). It's hollow in the middle. For two, it's hell. It's time to change it or say in the ad that this is an establishment that can accommodate 5 people, not 6. In addition, the number of plates, bowls, is too limited. Everything is 6 max. You need to plan for at least, 8 plates, bowls, to have the comfort of not washing the cutlery frantically all the time (especially when there are children...). We were 6... So two points: the sofa bed and the cutlery.

A lovely, great short stay 10 minutes away from the beach. Positive: Location had a great separate entrance out to cambers Landing (Lydd Road) which made it quick, easy route to the beach. Excellent location, that was quiet and peaceful. The property was quiet, fairly clean. The staff around & Gateaway team on message was excellent and prompt which gave peace of mind and very helpful. Enjoyed the short stay and spent most days on the beach. Negative: The side entrance made it easy to go to the beach but closes far too early at 8.30pm which made the evening rushed to get back or would have needed to walk to our location from beginning of ParkDean which was a very long walk and no great signs at Parkdean. Map is very unclear and needs improving. The walk to the beach was not 50 yards as stated when booking but good 10 minute walk, but was not too bad. The property becomes very hot, not easy to reduce the temperature- 2 windows were jammed and security guards had to bang it shut from outside as lot of insects were getting in due to the lights, so couldn’t open and close windows. Microwave was clean but not the kettle and did not use. The sofa bed is very flat & uncomfortable which was a shame and generally not enough room/ bed space for what was stated & booked for 6 people especially if its adults. We were 5 adults. Best to get a 3/4 bedroom and bigger Chalets next time in the same location.

Positive: What we paid to stay there was good.The chalet was lovely and clean and close to the beach and everything you needed was on the sight.The staff was freindly and helpfull.The security guards on the entertainment bar when we arrived went out of there way to help us find our chalet,when we arrived.It was dark and if it wasn't for there help we wouldn't have found it..I couldn't thank them enough.
